Would this product work on a soft floor on a car that is 35 yrs.old as opposed to cutting and replacing the floor pan. Not quite ready to go the full resto route yet.Any thoughts?

Degrease and remove the loose rust from the floor boards. I use POR 15 paint directly on fiberglas cloth instead of resin . Make it a few layers thick. If holes are large support the cloth from the bottom via what ever means. Next would be to seal the underside of the floors also. I divide a new QT. of POR 15 into baby food jars . Lasts much better in small containers rather than trying to keep a QT. can half full for any length of tme.

I just used a similar product, called "Rust Doctor" on the floorboards of my 1950 Ford F-6 truck. It was rusted thru in several places, and I followed an application of Rust Doctor with several layers of fiberglass, ended up with a pretty strong floor for a lot less expense than replacing the floor pan. Of course, it's impossible to tell how long it will hold, I figure it all depends on the rust converter. It appears to me, though, that Rust Doctor, POR-15 and Eastwood's Corrolless are all pretty much the same animal.

We used to use POR-15 but the price was ridiculously high. A friend turned us on to another product that is just as good if not better and costs us $28 a gallon less than POR-15.
