I recently bought an old set of Oliver 1955 decals from the AGCO dealer. There were no instructions with the set. On the back of the large side panel decals is the company name Meyercord Co. in Carol Stream (Wheaton),Ill. It says to follow closely the company instructions for applying the decals. I can't find this company. Have they gone out of business or been bought by another company? Does any one out there have any good advice for the proper way to apply these decals?

We used to get JD deacals in the 50's with the Meyercord name on them, The instructions called for Meyercord solution. We called JD and asked what to do? And they said water. We used slightly warm water to put the decals in to soak one at the time, from the sheet they were printed on,we then wet the sheet metal with a squirt bottle containing water and a couple of drops of dish detergent (lets you reposition the decal if needed without tearing it up), then when you get the decal into position, squeege all the bubbles out of it from the middle to the ends, hold one side gently while working on the other end. Let it dry(not in sunlight) and the cloudiness would usually be gone after about 24 hrs. Gene Davis
