I have an 8n ford that I am planning on repainting sometime in the near future and I wanted to be able to sandblast it to clean it up.
I want to be able to do a really nice job on the tractor and wondered if anyone could tell me what specs I should be looking for in a good quality sandblaster and how much I should be prepared to spend..... .also where is a good place to buy????

Also what should I need in an air compressor???

Thanks for your help!!!

I have the best luck with a very high powered water pressure sprayer....Get one with at least 2500psi or higher if you can....This works tons better than sanding, plus you don't have sand coming out of your engine and misc. parts for weeks to come... Stick with the pressure spayer...in the end it will strip anything a sander would do, and you will appreciate the end results. Hope this helps.

If you expect that your present tractor is the only one you need done- hire the job rather than invest in the equipment. Sandblasters are ok, but the smallest amount of moisture stops them, and commercial filter setups are extremely expensive. $150 for the job doesn't come close to the equipment you'd need. Small blasters with typical shop compressors take forever to do a tractor.
