Radiator Painting?

Anyone have a good technique for painting a radiator without pulling it from the tractor? Specifically a Fordson Model F. Was looking at aerosol (normal temp, flat black) but wondering if there is a brush on (easier to control and ensure full depth of fins is covered).

I am not pretending to know everything but I don't think you will want paint all the way through your fins on the radiator. I know that styled Deere tractors only paint that made it to the radiator was the limited overspray that made it through the grille screens. I think it won't cool as efficiently through the paint as it does just with metal to air. I would try a light aerosol to make it look nice but would not attempt to get a coat of paint all the way through the radiator or it won't get good airflow.

Radiators should be painted black to obtain the best radiation (cooling). It should only be enough to make the metal black. It should not be thick enough to restrict the air flow.

Check out your physics books under radiation and you will find that maximum radiation is based upon a black body. If you want to decrease radiation then paint it silver.
