The woodgrain material is still available from an aaftermarket source.Get a copy of Hemmings, look under services;there is a listing under woodgraining for a lady in Oregon. She even had it for my '78 AMC.

Let me tell you about an old trick used car reconditioners used a few years ago. They would replace the woodgrain with vinyl kitchen shelve liner. Believe it or not, if you got a good grade of the vinyl, it would last several years.

Thanks for the info, I was fearful that it would be an ordeal, seems like it will be worse than I thought, with the material no longer avail.
Thanks again

My local paint supplier has a remover designed for removing the wood grain adhesive.

As far as replacing it, good luck. These were dealer items only.

3M has a product avalable for removing the woodgrain sheets. I ran across it using the Google search engine and adhesive removers. It's CLR 3M woodgrain & stripe adhesive remover, spray cans and will not hurt paint. I have also seen rolls of wood grain material, if I find will post.
