I sprayed my tractor and used a face mask without oxygen respirator and it was a two part acrylic enamel with hardener.

Now I have deep cough and my lungs and upper throat are scratchy when a wallop a deep hoarse cough.

What do I do? Do I need to see the doctor or will my lungs clear out?

I am paramedic by profession now. I would advise caliing your local or statewide poison control center, number can be found on the inside of the front cover of your phone book. Have the brand name and product name of the products used handy when you call, if not the cans right there. They will have access to a large database and can give you some recommendations. This is the first thing a competent physician would do upon seeing you. Always use the proper respirator for the product(s) you are using. With the urethane paints and hardeners a simple face mask is not enough. Doc.

No medical doctors that I know of on this board. If you are that bad, I would suggest going to the emergency room. I assume you used a twin cartride respirator, doesn't work for hardeners. If you just used a dust mask, dial 911. I am in complete agreement with the last paragraph in the post below by Rod(NH). Good luck.
