Planning on painting my ac wd45 but it is my working tractor. How will this paint hold up on the engine when it is running all day?

Thanks in advance
Kevin

I have a couple tractors just painted with the kind of paint you would get at a farm store and some that have automotive paint. I personally think the plain old paint holds up better when it comes to bangs and scratches. In your case if you are going to use this tractor go to a farm store and get paint. If you prep the metal nice it will turn out just as nice and be stronger. Just my thoughts.

Automotive paint (DuPont, PPG, etc) is better and more expensive than "tractor paint" you buy from a dealer or some farm store. You do not need a special paint for the engine, unless you want the paint to stick to the exhaust manifold. In that case buy high temperature paint for the manifold only.
