I use JD paint right off the dealer's shelf and have painted over 20 2 cylinder's and here is how I mix it. 50 % paint and 50 % thinner and 2 ounces of hardner for each cup ( quart )of paint. PPG hardner is great, but I have also have found a company locally here in middle TN, that has a hardner called wet - look and it leaves a nice shine in the paint. The hardner makes the paint last longer and keep a nice shine for years. Email me if I can help you more.
