i have a hvlp gun that i have never used...a friend says his hardly puts out any over spray.... says that it dosent get all over him like a regular sprayer does ...is this true ???? thats the reason i bought the gun in the first place i hope he is telling the truth..thanks for your time bruce

He's telling you the truth. Before I had a HVLP gun I had to cover everything in the shop I didn't want painted but now I don't need to plus it takes less paint.

I spray with HVLP. Really like it. Mine is a Fuji brand. It took some getting used to tugging around the big air hose. The noisy fan took some getting used to. The cup gun is about the same as my old Binks.

HVLP= High Volume Low Pressure. Less press=less overspray. Have been thinking of going to HVLP but haven't made the jump yet. Fred

Don't put off getting an HVLP gun-you will wonder how you ever got along without it. One word of caution-don't use more than 25 feet of air hose or you will get too much pressure drop and won't get enough paint volume. Paint goes much farther and very little overspray.
