I was curious what combination and brands of thinner and harderners work best with TSC's BPS paint? Does a 50/50 thinner-paint ratio work well? What kind of thinner provides the best shine, and also how much harder should I use with it? Thanks, and any help you can provide me would be great! Luke

Luke, I don't know what you are painting or why but if you are going to the effort to use hardner and etc, you really need to use a different paint. I have used the BPS paint from TSC on some implements and regretted it. It will not hold up.

the tsc implement paint on its own is not very glossy or tough. they -tsc sell a hardener in 8 oz cans, use one can per gallon. thin with 6to8 oz of naptha per gallon you will get a tough high gloss finish. napa also sells a hardener that will work in the econobody line it is called synthetic enamel hardener 16 0z about 17.00.
i have had really good luck with this paint; and i sandblast and refinish as part of my work. also the magnet paint co offers fine products at fair prices. www.magnet.com

Thanks for the info. I am painting an Oliver 1750 for a guy and was going to use TSC paint as the "cheap" route. I am a firm believer in brand name paints myself and was happy to hear that others feel the same way. Looks like I will drop by the AGCO dealership and pick up some Oliver green. Thanks!
