Baking paint

I was just wondreing if anyone had ever baked your small parts that would fit in the oven to get the paint to stick better and last longer,(and no,not to eat,LOL).

Bake at 140deg. F for 20 min.

Sure thing! I used to do valve covers and intakes in the heat treating oven in the metal shop at school. The spray engine paint was harder and much more resistant to staining once baked. It even looked shinier but it might have been an illusion. I don't remember what temperature but it wasn't too long timewise. 15 minutes or so maybe.Let the parts cool completely before handling. And don't use the household oven when the wife is home!
