Anyone out there ever try Zero-rust,or other rust bond paints?I've got a truck chassis to paint,and it has rust.Any help/advice would help.Thanks,John.

Try Techtyl 506G. It's a petroleum based wax like cosmoline. It can't be painted, but that's ok for me. The military uses it, and I hear GM uses it now.

Go to your local paint store and ask for phosphoric acid. Sells for about $20.00 a gallon. Follow directions on container. Converts rust to iron phosphate and serves as its own primer. Ready to paint when it turns black and dries.

Good Morning

You might want to look into a product I sell just for this purpose. Chassis Saver is quite an interesting product. It can be applied directly over rust. Read about it at the site I've included below and I can send you some literature. We are just beginning a big marketing campaign in January starting with Hemmings Motor News. Anyone else who is interested is welcome to check it out.
