Want to know how everyone fills in pitted rust on sheet metal. I have heard everything from epoxy primer, sand and fill primer to putty. Would like to spray something.

I asked the same question last year and someone came up with the idea of using spray Kilz, a stain killer. I tried it and it worked beautifully. Sprays on heavy, let dry, sand down to bare metal, repeat if necessary, prime. I have finished my restoration and am very pleased with the paint job. Do an archive search for other methods discussed. Good luck!

Kilz is the brand name of this. I don't mean to sound dumb but have never heard of it and where do you get it. Thanks

Eric, you can buy Kilz at most hardware stores, Home Depot is where I buy mine. Make sure you use the spray can type.
