If you are buying premixed paint to use in a paint sprayer, don't. It will be very low quality. UNLESS it is IH 2150, sold by your Case-IH dealer. Also comes in spray cans for touch up. Otherwise have IH 2150, or IH 50 (used until the late 50's, cannot be bought premixed) mixed by your PPG, DuPont, or Sherwin Williams dealer. It will be better paint. I think NAPA sells Sherwin Williams under their own name. If you are wanting spray cans to touch up a tractor, I guarantee you it won't match.

OK; Thanks
Now then, is the IH 2150 the same shade as farmall red? I have a 48 farmall cub & I would like to make it as original as I can.

Anyone can use the term "farmall red". If you want the tractor as close to the original shade as you can get, the correct paint is IH 50. As I said you cannot buy this premixed, and if you could, since Case-IH does not sell it, it would probably be wrong. The PPG code for IH 50 is 70019, I don't remember the DuPont, Sherwin Williams, or NAPA's version of SW -- They can cross reference for you. The PPG code for IH 2150 is 71310, it is slightly darker than IH 50, but many people use it for all years. It is the paint I use, since I prefer to have all my letter series tractors the same color, regardless of year. 2150 is the current paint Case-IH recommends for all letter series (consider the Cub a letter series), and at least the early number series, but is not absolutely correct for all letter series. IH 2150 is the ONLY premixed paint I would consider using, and then only if the major companies (PPG, etc) stopped mixing 70019 or 71310 for me.

Dear sir; Thank you immensely! You have given me the information I needed to complete my task. Your help is much appreciated. If my cub turns out well enough, maybe I'll post a picture of it on this site. I have found it most helpful.
