my son inherited a 1946 model A culivision farmall. he was so proud of it. i used to take him to tractor shows and he was excited about taking his to a tractor show. he died last year at the age of eight. now i'm thinking of fixing it up and taking it to tractor shows in his memory. i know nothing about tractors and don't know where to begin with restoring it. it runs well. isn't rusted through anywhere. just looks like it needs a new paint job. who paints tractors, or do people do it on their own. would it be appropriate to put somewhere in small print "Aaron's tractor" Where do I begin to find out about restoring this tractor?

Here's my 2 cents. I think if you can find someone close to you for some help & advice I would try to tackle it yourself. I just finished my 1st tractor restoration with the help of my 2 and 1/2 year old son. The tractor will be his someday, he already loves tractors. Any way sorry to hear about your loss and I think it would be an Excellent idea to put his name on the tractor. And it would be a great memorial to your son

I restore tractors as a small business/hobby. I am located in Athens Pa 18810, and would be honored to restore or repaint your tractor in memory of your son. My prices are low b/c it's a hobby, not just a business. Let me know if you are interested, or if you would like to do it on your own, email me, and i will be more than willing to talk you through it.
