Forget Van Sickle, their primer is no better than their paint. I don't know what the condition of your old paint is, or whether you have removed it or not, but an epoxy primer and hardener, such as PPG MP 170, is better. The hardener does not contain isos, so a twin cartridge mask is adequate. If you need to sand, use a primer surfacer that is sandable over the epoxy -- I am not familiar with the Case-IH primer, probably sandable, but probably not as good as PPG and other major companies.
