I plan on using PPG's MP-170 Epoxy Primer and then and Alkyd Enamel with hardener. The poop sheet on the MP170 says it dries in 30 minutes and it must be scuffed and reapplied if allowed to sit more than 3 days. My question is, How long should I let it dry before applying the topcoat? thanks for the advice.

I know nothing about your topcoat, but PPG's products can be applied over 170 in less than 30 minutes, may even bond better if the primer is not completely dry. I believe I have painted over it in the time it takes to mix the topcoat, or shortly after the 170 flashes. This is at 70-75 F.
