Just finished painting ( without hardener )--didn't have an air line supplied respirator available-- and was wondering how long I should wait before cleaning up the over-spray and putting a little better shine on tractor. Should I use waxing compound so that it is not to aggressive ? Thanks for the help

6 months for wax. Any earlier and wax will trap the solvents in the paint and cause problems. You can probably get by with a polish or a glaze that does not contain wax after a few days, be very careful on a small area until you know what you are doing. But, with unhardended paint what you see now is about what you are going to have.
