I have my tractor stripped down and media blasted. It is an old MF 135 and there are alot of imperfections of course in the cast and other areas. What is the best primer or sealer to use to fill as much of the pores as possible to get a decent top coat. I have some paint experience but this is a work tractor and I am not planning on PPG or dupont top coat. I have used the enamels with hardner and am pleased with the results so that is probably what I will do. Any help will be appreciated. I just want a good primer or sealer that won't peel and fills well. Thanks

steve, some one will disagree with me but i would use a good primer surfacer. ppg # is dz3 dupont is 70s or 80s rm is aps422 or aps423..all are lacquer base.you can get it a little cheaper from omni or nason(can't remember #s)surfacer fills the imperfections..sealer keeps anything under it from affecting topcoat..one other thing..painting is like building a house..without a good foundation it won't last long..partsguy

Thanks, I have used the dupont and rm products and really liked them.
