I was just reading some of the postings about the paint/primer compatability and air mask issue. I do not have proper protection so I am planning to have a felow down the road do my painting, but I have aquestion on the primer and paint. I am considering using Martin Senour acrylic enamel 1011-A 3740 on my 2N. At least that is what the local NAPA recomended. The epoxy primer that the painter uses is distributed by Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance. It is called Auto Body Master Professional Epoxy Primer #8412. Do any of you know if these are compatable or have any advise on this. He says he uses this on about everything when he is using epoxy primer. I'll never paint this again and I wnat it to be a paint job that will last.

I haven't used the Autobody Master epoxy primer but I have used their primer surfacer and clear coat with good results under PPG Omni urethane paint as well as CIH Iron Guard paint. Most of the body shops around here use alot of the Autobody Master products and seem to like them. The Autobody Master primer/surfacer I used seemed to work just as nicely as the PPG but for alot less money.

Why take the chance? If being sure you get a long lasting job is your first concern then spend a few extra bucks and buy the underlayment recomended by M-S. Or buy the top coat from his supplier.
