Saw this gadget in a Northen tool catalog. Siphon with attachment for pressure washer wand for use with media or sand. Has any one tried this. I have a few old ford tractors I would like to do after dissasembly. I really would rather just take all my stuff to a professional blaster but can't seem to find anyone close. I have been told I could get them done fairly cheap by taking all the peices to someone else and getting them done all at once. Like all sheetmetal in one trip and cast in another.

I talked to a guy today that used one and he said he took his leaf blower to dry the piece after blasting it. Sounded like a good plan to me. Thought I might try it. Sounds alot safer than worrying about silica.

My neighbor bought one from Northern and it works
good if you have a good pressure washer. It sucks
up the sand good and cleans well. I don't like
the process as it cleans down to bare metal and
it starts to rust right away because of the wet
finish. It may work good in hot sunny weather so
the water dries before the rust starts. A good
feature is no dangerous dust, just mud and water.
