Rick,
I bought a DeVilbiss Finishline II HVLP gun last spring and am very satisfied with it. I am a computer guy by trade but can lay down a very nice coat of paint with this gun and I belive it was around $115. Jeff

I use an Apollo HVLP gun. These are very popular in the aircraft industry. I bought mine with a conversion to run with my big shop compressor, so I don't have to use a turbine with it. The model I got came with a 1qt pressure cup on the gun, but then I also bought a 2qt pressure pot with a 6ft hose. I use this all the time because I can turn the gun in any direction without upsetting the separate pot. This is excellent for tractors because I can paint the underside of things with ease. I think I invested about $600 in the whole setup, which included different sized tips, viscosity cup, the two pots, etc. So far, I would estimate that I save about $100-$200 each time I paint a tractor because I use about half the materials that I used to. (I use some fairly expensive finishes). Anyway, if you have more questions, email me at lsackett@iname.com or visit my web page, www.leejsackett.com.

The apollo gun I bought is here:

Good luck!

I bought a gravity feed HVLP made bt Astro and am well satisfied. If I remember correctly it ran around $175. From what I have been told about any of the gravity feed HVLP guns will paint well for a job or two then some parts start to wear and the finish quality starts to go down hill. I havn't kept exact track but I think the Astro is on job 6-10? and paints as new. Came from my PPG paint dealer

I use Sata guns. Nice guns but cost some bucks.
