How low a tempeture have you shot OMNI MTK? It's pretty cold here right now but I realy need to get the WD out of the booth and shop. I can maintain 60-65 with the exhaust fans on, dealer is so so about it. Thanks

I try for 68-70 building temperature, if it is cold outside sometimes it gets down to 60 before I'm done. I consider 60 the absolute lower limit. I would think 60-65 is ok particularly for cast and maybe some small parts where the finish needed doesn't have to be absolutely perfect. For sheet metal, which usually only takes a few minutes to put on one coat, I would really like it closer to 70 degrees. I intend to build a permanent paint booth in part of my heated area, and pulling heated air from my furnace through and out the exhaust fan, once my current project is completed. I've had it with heating, painting, ventilating, heating, etc. Only my opinion, not supported by any comparisons I have made.

Thank you sir, I worked a bit tonight and turned the fans on just to check and it got down to 65 in 2 hrs. My "booth" is a knock down affair in the corner of my shop. Air comes in from a filtered vent at the top and I draw air out the bottom of the side wall, works well for me as I need the space when I'm not painting although i would like to find an economy way to put some extra clean heat right in the booth. Paint guy said the sheet goes down to 60 using fast hardener and fast reducer but he didn't seem to be too thrilled about that temp.

Mine would probably drop to 65 in about 15 minutes when it's below freezing outside. I'm considering some sort of collapsible booth, have thought about putting the sides on removable rollers and stacking it against the wall when not in use, and leaving the ceiling permanent. Would have to rearrange lights, etc. As usual, my building is about 50% too small.
