Yeah, isn't that something - 'Spray on - let dry - surfaces instantly prepared for painting!' It will dry eventually, but not to what you'd probably like. I've found where drips dry as drips, and then I'm scrubbing the thing with a wire brush all over again. Or it stays sticky. For most (lightly rusted) metal, I spray it on, let the part sit maybe 1/2 hour, then wipe and let air dry. For heavily rusted stuff, I spray, let it sit overnight, scrub with a wire brush, spray again, let sit 1/2 hour, then wipe dry. I've tried soaking parts and it seems about the same as spraying. I don't know about you but I got some of that stuff on my hands and it was not nice. I protect myself from flying droplets when I'm scrubbing. There's a couple railroad spikes that I coated and want to apply some other converter-type products to do an exposure test. That TSC stuff is so cheap I wonder how it will hold up so I want to make sure before using it on another project.
