I am sure this has been answered before but I cant find it in the archives. Can someone supply the dupont color code that best matchers the silver for the wheels.

Case/IH wheel paint is # 1111B Aluminum. It's all I use on rims. Also use Econo-Body 15117 Super Gloss Acrylic Enamel Hardner. Shines so good you'd think it was clear coated. P.S.- I also tried the same paint in spray can, it's not the same, nowhere close.

Mike, I'm outside Wenatchee about 20 miles. Colockum, right on the Kittitas county line.
I have a 1944 M at the high school being a project. One of the next steps will be Painting.
Its on www.nwihc30.com in the photo section.
What kind of primer did you use? Can you send a picture of your Super A ? BKim9166@aol.com

oh sorry, its a super A. Where you at in WA, Im about 10 miles SW of Chehalis. Read a post today on the farmall board that refered to a metallic silver, but I am sure when I first started reading these forums there was a discussion on the different silvers. I am using an epoxy primer and a dupont acrylic enamel for the rest.

People have their own opinions about this, but there is no official color. The original rims were galvanized by a supplier and IH did not specify an color, just the quality of rust protection. When they were eventually painted, sometime around 1953, I think, again the rims were obtained from an outside supplier, and the spec was for rust protection, not color. I use PPG products, and used a silver argent color--it was really for GM rally wheels. There is more than one of these. You don't want it too gray or too bright. The original galvanized rims were not very bright. The current color used on the new Case-IH tractors is too gray for the old rims. I think Case-IH has an silver-type paint in spray cans that some people use. Again, no one can tell you what is correct, because there was no standard.
