Been rebuilding my TO-20 since January, got it running smooth. Been sanding, filling, priming, sanding... finally got it ready to spray enamel and take pictures this weekend. I went out and got a bunch of grey BPS paint and hardener before I read some of the unflattering reviews about the stuff in these posts.... Well, done spent my money so I'm using it. I'm hoping with the hardener, and that I keep my tractor under an awning, that my paint will last a while. I use isocyanates at work so I know how to treat the stuff. But - a painter I ain't. Would it be a problem to apply 2 - 3 coats of enamel with hardener? Or should I not use hardener until the last coat of paint? With the hardener, will the re-coat stick OK or should I buff the paint with real fine sandpaper to rough it up so the next coat will stick good? I assume the regular instructions on the can of paint also apply with the added hardener as far as re-coat times, dry time, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have learned a great deal already just reading through all the previous posts, thanks
