What is the correct paint color for the wheels on a 1953 Farmall Super C? We have seen the wheel bolts painted silver or red. What was the original color?

The cast wheel centers are red, but the rim attaching bolts are special fine thread, high strength, cadmimum plated bolts and nuts with plated flat washers and lock washers(appearing the same color as the rims). Now that's the way the new H's and M's were we bought, and I presume the C types were the same.

The correct color for the wheels is IH-2150 Red.
Bolts were plated.

I have looked at several books about Farmall "correctness" and have seen them with bolts silver and with them red but I think Charles is right about the bolts being red like the wheels.

Wheels, bolts are red. Rims were originally galvanized, but most people paint them silver or aluminum.
