I recently purchased a 1948 Pony. While replacing the rear rims I noticed that the paint inside of the rims was silver. I thought that they came factory painted yellow. Is it possible that some models came painted silver? If you know please, let me know. I'm about to beging painting and I want it to look just as it did in 1948.

Even if it didn't come from the factory that way, I'd still paint the inside of the rims to givie it a protective coating. It wouldn't need to be top of the line paint, but just a good coating to keep it from rusting. Rattle can paint would do the trick.
