Gentlemen; I have a new hvlp Asturo brand paint gun for spraying water base poly on my new kitchen cabinets.
I would like to also use it for some body work on my truck and my JD 420W tractor. I have NAPA stores local. What type of paint would be best for my teal green 1995 GMC pickup. Arylic? Urethane? or something else? Thank You

Your truck will have a base coat clear coat finish from the factory and should be redone in the same finish. it will take a lot of prep work as far as sandining and priming; primer must be a 2k urethane primer and for a sand scratch free finish should be sanded with at least a p600 grit wet or p400 orbital machine. Acrylic is cheaper and less durable than urethane; but the colour may not match (for both)if you are doing parts of the truck, altjho that may not matter if you are doing a complete.
Talk to a local body shop painter. HVLP guns are great but require a lot of air volume to operate efficiently usually 20cfm, high pressure is less critical, most guns operate at 10psi at the gun.
Good luck
