How long can epoxy primer sit on the shelf with the reducer in it and still be effective when the catalyst is added.

thanks for your advice

HI Terry
Officially after one year product is deemed unusable and any warranty expires, now real life, probably 2 or 3 years, you did say no catalyst was added right? The issue with shelf life is solvents in the film evaporating and the product gets thick, also the resin seperates from the solvent and forms a "cake" or "puck" at the bottom of the can, a higher end product is less likely to seperate like this. The big thing that worries me about your situation is yuor ability to get everything in proper suspension, you really need to put the can on a paint shaker for a while. If not you can go to Home depot and get paint mixer for your drill ( their mixers are actually dry wall mud mixers and not paint mixers but that is a discussion for another time ) one of those mixers will work for you but the shaker is the best way. Is this an automotive Epoxy or an Industrial Epoxy?
