Had a friend tell me of someone he knew who primed a bus with epoxy primer only to have the primer dry so fast that the surface was covered with chunks of pigment.Left a rough surface. What went wrong? Wrong gun or what? Thanks,I don't wwnt that to happen to me.

Hi
Do you know what brand it was? I am a rep for Dupont and we had a line of epoxy's that had a stability problem and left a gritty look to the surface, the line has been replaced but it sounds like the old line we used to have.

Bad gun
Bad paint
Wrong mix of hardner
Wrong thinner for the temprature
Bad environment - like outside in the sun
A bus - may have taken so long, it went past the pot life of the mixed paint
Possibly bad spray technique.
Best way to avoid problems - read the 'p' sheet for the primer and follow it's instructions to the letter. The manufacturer does know best how to use it's products.
