Do you need to wear a mask when working with Bondo? I used some Bondo on my tractor fender yesterday in my building and he about knocked me on the floor with the smell.

After a few minutes of fresh air I felt better.

Any suggestions?
THanks,

LBH

In the post below I mentioned TC-84A. That will work with your charcoal mask. I am thinking mostly about the dust when I sand the stuff, the smell doesn't bother me, so I don't wear any kind of a mask when I am mixing it, perhaps I should. I have tried wearing just a dust mask when sanding, but my glasses get fogged, so I usually wear the same mask I paint with, or use a lot of ventilation. My nasal passages and lungs don't like the dust.

I use a paint/pestiside respirator when sanding and painting. I bought one of the cheap ones at a tool sale for $8 with refill filters for $1 each. Seems to work great. No complaints here.
