How would a person go about pulling dents out of a gas tank that can't be pulled out with a suction cup?

Tom, Provided that the dents do not have creases in them: 1) Remove the tank, plug the strainer hole and adapt a Shrader valve to a spare gas cap. Fill the tank all but full of water and slowly pressurize the tank from a regulated air supply. About ten pounds has brought out all the dents that I have encountered. 2) Procure a block of DRY ICE and apply it to the dented area. Most body shop familiar with hail damage repair will assist you here. 3) Gas-free the tank, fill all but full with water, rotate the tank so that the dented area is at the top (in the air pocket), heat the affected area with a rose bud tip and quickly quench the area with a wet rag. 4) If all the above fail, or creases are involved, drill the necessary holes and use a slide hammer. Fill the holes with either solder or braze before applying any type of finish filler.
