Don't come to this site as I am not a painter. But I needed to repaint the roof on my stock trailer. Had some rust spots and old paint. Not bad enough to sand blast.

Was looking in a Harbor Freight cat. one day and saw foam sanding blocks. Bought some. Used them yesterday.

If you never used them, get some. You won't believe how handy they are. They take a medium to firm foam pad about 3x1x5 and coat 4 sides with an abrasive material (whichever grit you want). The grit adheres directly to the foam and it doesn't come off. Can be used wet. Sands like crazy and sooooo oooo fast.

I seldom paint, but the next time I do, I'll prep the surface with these guys.

Thought you might like to know about this.

Mark

I use power sanders for the big areas but I always have a handful of sanding sponges handy for the tight and unusual spots.
