I think PPG makes a high gloss hardener for their MAE acrylic enamel, I have not tried it because I use mostly MTK acrylic urethane. These are both in the "inexpensive" Omni line. I believe there is only one type of hardener for MTK, can't speak for the equivalent DuPont Nason line. DuPont and PPG both have acrylic enamel and acrylic urethane paints, both of which should be superior to IH 2150, particularly the acrylic urethane, but I have not used 2150, some people swear by it. But, I have never heard of anyone who has used a major brand that recommends using dealer paint, 2150 or not. 2150 crosses to DuPont 96766 or PPG 71310, if you are interested. I apply 3 wet coats no matter what I use.Hardener will make it flow out better, and it is essentially cured in a day instead of 3 or 4 months. Of course hardener is required for urethane, or it won't cure properly.
