I have never posted any messages before but get lots of good information by reading others. I have been painting tractors for quite a few years and have had great luck with gloss and durability. I have always used the John Deere or CIH paints for whatever tractors I were painting. I would like to try something new to see if I can get a glassier shine more show quality. I am thinking of adding some hardener to some 2150 on an A farmall. Not sure the guy wants to by expensive paint.

So far I've only used the CNH 2150. I use NAPA Econo-Body 15117 Super Gloss hardner. It does give the paint a much better gloss and seems to hold up to fading very well. My M was painted about 4 years ago and unfortunately has been outside for 1 1/2 years due to too many tractors & not enough room. Someone asked a few weeks ago if it had been repainted recently, so it does still look good. Hopefully this will continue for years to come. Have also used same hardner with JD paint 5 years ago with same results. I am about to paint a C for an individual that owns a few Farmalls with the same paint. One of his tractors has basecoat/clearcoat that looks great, but IMHO is overkill. After looking at the M he chose the 2150 for this project.
