I know the color is Persian Oarnge.
What I don't know is the ones you see at shows are quite shinny and I was wondering if that is Persian Oarnge or another color. Is it brighter because of the better quality now days?

I bought Pursial Orange No 1. from PPG- Delstar. It uses a hardener and is enamel paint. VEry - very shiny and hard. Looks great. It is what they use on the "show tractors" as you say. A light orange, almost a tint of brown. Not the reddish color used in the 1970's That was called Corporate Orange. The hardener gives it the extra shine.

Steve,

I am afraid PPG has discontinued their Delstar line. Too bad. I used alot of Delstar/Delthane some years ago with excellent results. I tried to get some last last year and my local supplier didn't even have any of the mix colors anymore. PPG's website also no longer provides any info on the system. PPG has come up with a "second tier" replacement line of acrylic enamels called "OMNI", similar to the older Delstar system. You can get Persian Orange (the pumpkin shade, sometimes referred to as persian #1) in that line. Number is the same but preceeded with an MAE...e.g. MAE60080. Reasonable price too. $12 and change per quart of basic paint, not including reducer or hardener.
