odd paint prep question

Finished a restoration recently on a SA. Dry fit all the tin and farmed out some things to be sand blasted. Long story short, after paint and reassembly the tank leaked like a sive. Wish I had checked after sand blasting and before paint, but lessoned learned. Any way I lined the tank and it is holding fuel, but it was soaked in a hot tank and the paint is blistered. My question is what next? Can I sand and reprime, or does the process of soaking in a hot tank require another treatment to get paint to stick?

Sand it throughly, clean it good with PPG 330 wax and grease remover, and prime with epoxy. The prep will remove any contamination from the hot tank. As a precaution, also throughly clean with soap and water, then DX 330 BEFORE you sand.

As always, thanks for the help. If just one person reads this thread and tests their tank after prep and before paint I'll feel better about having made the mistake myself.
