I have a 2775 Massey,and it was sitting out some of its life,
some painted parts are getting that brown color on them,not bad ,but just on the surface,
how do I get that off?
Will fine compound work?
& then go over it with a wax cleaner?
to clean it up?
get back to me on this ok somebody,

Go to the Implement Alley discussion forum and do a search on Ospho. There is a discussion there about using diluted Ospho to remove paint oxidation. Might be what you are looking for.

Hi,

If by "brown color" you mean rust is showing through whatever little paint you have remaining, I don't think there is any easy fix. The parts would need to be completely stripped, all rust removed (sanding/wire brushing/chemical treatment/sandblasting, etc) and the parts properly primed and painted. However, I may not be understanding your situation correctly.
