Are there any companies out there that have large tanks to just dip your parts in to remove paint, rust, grease and everything else? I have heard of furniture restoration shops like this and I know that some engine rebuilding shops have some, but I thought that there was a chain type of place that offered this service. Thanks

Found some companies for you! In an old book I have on auto restoration. They are: Ace Enterpries. St. Miami, Fla. 800-327-5721.

Dura Finish at San Mateo No. number listed. East Coast Auto Stripping. 215-277-7538.

Redi Strip Co. 213-944-9915. Restoration Specialists in Wisconsin. 414-529-1515.

Hope this helps.

I have no experience with this, but I read alot of car mags.Ive heard {rumor, rumor]that you have to pressure wash the residual stuff from all the tight spots or it will cause paint problems later on.

A car restoration shop near here had a huge dip tank to remove paint etc. Only time I was ever there he had a whole 56 chevy body, minus fenders, doors etc. in it. He said the problem was getting all the acid out of the body before refinishing. Sure stripped them clean.

You may be able to find a source in Hemmings. Hemmings is the source for antique car restoration.
