Hi,
I'm putting a MF135 back in service and making it look a little prettier with some paint. I would like to paint both the engine block and the exhaust manifold and pipes with the same paint I'm using elsewhere. This is rattle can paint of the proper color (hopefully) over gray Krylon primer.

I know that most think that using any spray bomb is wasting time, but....

Will the primer and enamel stay on those hot parts (engine and exhaust) or will it not? I don't want to go to high temperature paint, because I'm thinking that there's no way the paint will match.

Thanks for your feedback...

Thanks!
I neglected to mention that I plan to use a 'Rust Converter'on the old rusty manifold before priming and painting...have you ever used such a product in high temp environments?

I have experimented with it on really rusty and pitted parts that I have hit with angle grinder wire wheel and the 'skin' seems to do a good job of adhering....just wonder about the heat....

Thanks again!

To answer your question--no. But, POR 15 makes some high temp paints that you might want to check out. They have a web site. Also, you might want to ask them on their 800 number.

Do not know where you live but ask for distributjors close to you. Saves some freight and time. Hope this helps.
