I have a gallon of TP110 Red for my Farmall B. What do I need to add to this in order to spray it on my tractor? How much Hardner, what kind? How much thinner and what kind? or anything thing else I should know? Also can I just brush this on everything except the sheetmetal? How does that work? Hope you can help me. Fred

The paint is made by TISCO

Never heard of TISCO but the supplier should have tech sheets available, it's not a big deal if it's not on the can but it is a big deal if the supplier doesn't have them.

Same answer -- if mixing instructions are not readily available, take it back.

What brand is TP110? If there are no instructions on the can, and the dealer cannot supply them, take it back and buy name brand paint, the dealer will have the instructions for it, or they are available on the internet. The instructions for PPG/DuPont/SW, etc, are virtually foolproof and eliminate guesswork. I have never heard of your paint, perhaps someone has used it and has the answer. Some people can add reducer until it "flows off the stick right". I don't have a clue how to do that. The correct paint for your B was IH 50, it is no longer available but can be mixed by PPG/DuPont/ Sherwin Williams, etc. Harderner requires a supplied air system, a charcoal mask is not sufficient for the isocyanates in the hardener.

Yep, CNKS, ya got it right: when it looks good, running off the stick, you got it right for spraying! I told that to a paint rep when he asked me what mixing ratio i used! And, that's how i did it. It is something that you can develop with some years in the paint spraying trade, but to tell it to somebody who isn't in the trade, and who wants info on how to paint and mix paint, it falls on deaf ears! The advice of sending/ taking that odd make of paint back is correct! if there is no instructions on the can, that product must be made for places where the instructions are in the company directives, and not out where they can be used by anybody else! by: Rustyj

The stick method only works on uncatalyed paint, if you over or under catalyze paint it will not crosslink properly, you will either have a bunch of uncatalzed resin floating around or a bunch of unused catalyzt floating around. And you can't use the mix ratio for different paints, if a urethane mix ratio is 2:1 and another urethane is 4:1 then the 4:1 is a higher concentrate of iso's and less solvent, mixing ratio's and catalyst will only be asking for trouble.
