I need to know how to mix or get Moline red. I am using DuPont paint for the tractor. (006 is the code for it) Please help me if you can. Thanks, Perry

Perry,

If you want to go with PPG paint the code that is the closest is DAR 72083H, which is in their acrylic enamel. I believe the name is Indian Red and is one of their fleet colors. Some time ago it was matched with NOS M-M parts and found to be as close as anything by a now deceased major M-M collector. I think you will find it to be "dead on" to the original Minnie Mo color for the wheels etc. Hope this helps.

Jim

HI Perry
As Rod pointed out 006 is a valid code but it is a fleet color developed for Moser Construction and is Gold not red, the fact that Moser's name is on it doesn't really mean anything but it is gold, where did you get the 006 no. from? is it gold or red you are looking for? Also the gold is not a mettalic color, it is all solid toners.

Hi Perry,

The 006 DuPont code appears to still be a valid number, at least for Centari AE and the NASON lineup. It's called a "gold" by DuPont though and not a "red". I show a couple of different PPG formula numbers for MM red in my compiled PPG listing. No guarantees. I have no idea which one, if either, might be right for you. If MM is like Allis Chalmers, they could have had two different reds, depending on year. If Frank Stalfire drops by, he may be able to help you out better with DuPont codes.
