Planning to put some red paint on the fule tank soon. What is the best way to tackle this big monster?

My question really has to do with--do the top first and let that dry? Paint the bottom next?

It is off the tractor so I can be flexible. With the HVLP gun, I have trouble painting place that you have to point the gun up. Does this makes some sense? Thanks.

Paint the flat end first. When dry you can set it on that end and paint bottom, sides and top. Or paint the bottom first, up to the seam, dry, and mask off the bottom and paint the rest.
