Just looked up the codes for my Case tractor and was impressed by the system (driven by Sherwin-Williams). You can even buy the paint right after you look it up! For me, I typed "Case" into the fleet search, then clicked on JI Case, then picked my color, then the type (I picked Acrylyd Acrylic Enamel). Will be taking the code to a local shop to buy though, prices were a little high.

Interesting, I couldn't get anything to pop up for IH or International or any combination. Not sure why it doesn't find anything there, unless there is supposed to me a co. or inc. on the end? It works awesome for Case and Deere though.

Rod, good point. A lot of people don't realize the relationship between SW and MS. Also, did you know that SW owns the KRYLON brand as well. SW is a huge company. MS is top notch paint though, them and Spies and Hecker (spelling?).

Hi, I read your posting on sherwin paint code web site so I tried it for IH Farmall with no luck. Any Ideas as to what I did wrong??

Hi Ed,

Yes, that's nice information to have available. The competitor interchange is handy although not everything crosses over. Martin Senour's (NAPA) website is like that too. That's not surprising since I understand that MS products are just rebranded/renamed SW products. DuPont has a good site also but you have to be registered and accepted to gain access to the color formulas area. Furthermore, there is no tractor name lookup that's effective nor is there any cross reference information from other manufacturer's codes. I don't know about PPG. They say they have an on-line formula database but I have not been able to get them to grant me access to it. Both the SW and MS websites have better problem troubleshooting guides than either DuPont or PPG.
