Thanks alot for the very helpful recent information on PPG numbers for IH whites. I'm glad that is finally resolved.

One more question: Can someone tell me the PPG cross from duPont 59664? I had read that the implement white for IH loaders was this duPont code, and that is what I recently purchased for my IH 1701 loader. My paint dealer crossed it and sold me a PPG MTK paint - just wanted to check if that was the correct one?

Thanks

Paul,

This is all I can add:

1. The 1990 DuPont-to-PPG cross that I have does not list a DuPont 59664 at all.
2. The Sherwin Williams website competitor interchange shows no cross from DuPont 59664.
3. The Martin Senour (NAPA) website competitor interchange shows no cross from DuPont 59664.
4. The DuPont website lists 59664 as a General Motors "Canyon Gray" color.
5. I have a DuPont listing of tractor and implement colors where 59664 shows up in two places:
a. Under International as "TractorWhite" with no other interchange info.
b. Under Oliver as "(green) White" with PPG 8829 as an interchange. I cannot understand what the designation "(green) White" refers to. It would seem to be contradictory?

Sorry that this is more confusing, but such is a common case with many old tractor colors. Actual sampling is sometimes the only way, particularly if you have something to go by in the first place. Is what you have anywhere near to what you think it should be? Hopefully someone who has been down that same path as you will be able to provide something more definite.

Rod

Hi Rod

Thanks for your response. I did a search on this site, and found out that the duPont number I referenced (59664) was provided me by Frank Stalfire last week in response to my question as to the white I should use for my IH 1701 loader. I then had my dealer cross that number to a PPG number. Since the reference was from Frank, I am confident this is the correct number. Nevertheless, after all the discussonm about IH whites, I"m curious as to which IH number it crosses with (IH 902??)

Perhaps Frank could clarify that for me. Thanks for all of your help.

Paul
