I backed into the tank with my new Saginaw hitch and punched a hole in the side of the tank. I have never used fiberglass repair, which I'm pretty sure I need to use, unless there are better ways. I've never done fiber glass repair, where to start? Where to buy stuff? How do you do? Thanx for any input you may have.... Dave

Yes fiber Glass should work,, one item you might want to get when you start to work with fiber glass are measuring cups, because the resin has to be mixxed just right ,,just got done doing some, had to use 12 drops of hardner per ounce of resin, those disposible cups made it very easy to measure out resin,,they are availible at any auto-body supply store,,also you might want to pick up several small paint brushes they are almost impossible to clean after using to apply resin so i just throw them away

You'll need to grind off any paint and rough up
the surface and surrounding area. Next you take
fiberglass cloth or matting and wet it with the resin and apply with several coats letting it dry
between coats. Finish to suit desire.
The products should be available at good autoparts
stores, boat shops or Sears used to carry it. It
a little of a mess to work with but you should
have no trouble. Good luck.

I went to Napa and got the material. I put a double patch on the outside, and I was able to reach in and place a patch on the inside. Should work out great. Here's a link somebody posted for me on the Farmall forum, just in case anybody wants to learn a little more about fiberglassing.

Thanx....Dave
