i can still see a little paint on my frame . will the (MFR) stick ? #2? do i need to get to bare metal or can i light sand and prime over some of the old paint on the frame axles ect?

You don't have to get 100% of the paint off, maybe 99%. That is enough to be visible. After I have oven cleaned, angle grinded, and needle scaled etc, if there is a little paint in the nooks and crannies, I figure it's stuck pretty good and won't hurt anything. Epoxy primer will seal it in. On the other hand, if you mean a significant amount of paint on the flat surfaces, you haven't tried hard enough to get it off. Rust preventatives/converters are not intended to be used over paint.

getya some 3M scotch brite pads that'll fit on yer die grinder, the course will take it off and not tear up the frame
