I intend to buy some 2150 (PPG omni 71310) soon, priced it today -- about $94/gallon, plus hardener, not much different from the last time I purchased -- don't know if that was list price or not.

Yup, looks right to me. That seems to be a good price for the DPLF - $36/ RTS qt. I thought it would be higher, more in line with Daniel's cost noted below at $52/ RTS qt. I buy all my PPG stuff at Robbins also - the main store in Dover. They have a satellite store nearer me in Rochester but the paint guy is a real ****head and I refuse to deal with him at all. In contrast, the paint guy in Dover is pleasant and very knowledgeable. Plus the warehouse is right down the street a piece so I can pick up anything they don't stock in the store right away. It's worth the extra 15 miles or so to go to Dover. I have always found Robbin's prices to be decent. They seem to take off significantly from the "listed" price even for any old walk-in. I always thought the Robbin's listed price was inflated but it may be that others pay that price at other distributors. I prefer the local NAPA for actual auto parts however. The guys/gals behind the parts counters at both Robbin's stores leave a lot to be desired, more so in recent years. Robbin's has always had a huge stock of car parts, including foreign, available at their three Dover warehouses but their poor counter service robs from the convenience of it. NAPA can have most non-stocked things at the store the next day. If I have to have a part that very day that the NAPA store doesn't have on hand, I'll bury my pride and go to Robbins. Otherwise it's NAPA for all but paint.

I don't know if you have had any luck (or even tried) in getting on-line access to PPG's color formulas. I have applied for that access but they seem to be ignoring me. I signed up last fall with a login and password and they were to get back to me. They never did. I have tried applying again but their server indicates my previous login is now "already used". I seem to be in a circle with them. DuPont, however was quite different. After applying, they graciously called me up on the phone to verify I was real and granted me access. Not that I am going to mix my own paint - but it's nice to be able to verify current formulas and determine what chemistries are available in that formula right from your own computer.
