i am a fair distance from an auto supply like nappa, but i have some 17% phosphoric acid , used to increase the acidity of water ,and i was wondering if i could use that in wiping down metal that i have sand blasted to stop it from rusting.
i'm restoring a 1955 IH 300U .
thanks
bud

My answer is "probably", but I don't like to use products that are not specifically intended for the purpose. Picklex 20 will do what you want -- $30 a pint, but a pint will do a couple of tractors. Must for Rust, a similar product that costs much less can also be used. I have used Picklex 20 extensively, less so for Must for Rust.
